JOSH JUGUM Josh has been practicing yoga for nearly ten years, and began teaching in December 2005. His father practiced yoga in the Seventies, and Josh recalls being mystified as to why his dad was standing on his head for minutes at a time in their living room. It certainly never occurred to him that he'd one day practice the strange ritual his father was engaged in. Josh developed an interest in yoga after reading that it was becoming a popular form of exercise with professional athletes who were interested in injury-prevention, and in improving their balance, coordination, and strength. Josh teaches an active, inclusive, and never-too-serious style of yoga, incorporating elements of Ashtanga and Vinyasa, with modifications and options for yoga practitioners of every level. Josh is a Pocket-area native, and looks forward to sharing the benefits of the yoga journey.

SILVIA VIARNES, RYT 200 For me, yoga is an adventurous journey into the realm of self-awareness. It is an exploration of the mind, body and spirit leading to an expansion of the self in all areas of life. I completed a 200-hour teacher training program in December 2009. My focus is on foundation, alignment, and the connection with the breath. My life is guided by the core principles of yoga philosophy, and I enjoy a near daily asana practice. By day, I am a practicing attorney. I also hold a Master's Degree in Counseling. As a result of my work in the Master's Program, I resumed my yogic journey which started in my very early twenties with prenatal yoga. The route back to yoga was very circuitous until my late forties when my heart led me back to where I had started decades earlier. I deeply enjoy my asana practice, teaching yoga, learning, gardening, art, traveling to foreing countries (I am a foreigner myself, native of Buenos Aires, Argentina) and desserts of all kinds. I look forward to seeing you in class, getting to know you, and hearing about your yoga journey.
